// Amali Ward

Amali Ward is a Sydney based pop/soul singer who first came to the public's attention at just 15. After making the top 10 of Australian Idol, 2007 saw Amali release her independent, self-written and produced debut EP. The Daily Telegraph raved "taking her time has paid off," describing the music as "mature pop"; the EP also won a MusicOz award, with Amali holding the 1 position on the Myspace Soul charts for 6 weeks.

In the last two years, Amali has toured Australia playing shows, including the Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival, The Southern Roots Festival and 2009 Rosemount Fashion Week for renowned designer Kirrily Johnston. She has supported local artists such as The Bamboos, Paris Wells and True Live and international acts such as Naturally 7 at the Enmore Theatre in early 2009.

Amali is the face of Rexona Girl, featuring in a nationwide television and print campaign. She has also modelled for US chain Mervyns, and has spent time as a guest presenter for Channel V as well as SBS Television, for their surprise hit "Nerds FC".

Amali recently signed with management in the US and is currently working on songs for her debut album with producers such as Jack Splash (Alicia Keys, Estelle, John Legend) and Warryn Campbell (Kanye West, Musiq Soulchild).
